Pratt & Whitney Rzeszów, in cooperation with other companies forming the Aviation Valley, supports the Training Centre for Numerical Control Machine Operators. There are 12 schools in the region – technical schools plus the Centres for Practical Training – under the patronage of the Aviation Valley (curricula; teaching aids; financial support; training for vocational teachers; guides describing the standards of equipment and safety in the laboratories of particular subjects); project co-financed with the funds of the Marshal’s Office.

A separate programme is addressed to vocational teachers in secondary schools. WSK also holds periodic sessions for the vocational teachers; visits to the production departments; sharing knowledge, good practices with the foremen and the management of the company.

The company co-finances the participation of the representations of schools from Rzeszów and its vicinity in nationwide competitions and the organisation of competitions in technical and scientific subjects (Jarosław, Nisko, Rzeszów).

In 2016, the company also became a patron to classes, first at the Mechanical Schools Complex, then also at the Technical Schools Complex. The patronage aims to support the education of highly qualified personnel for the aviation industry by means of traineeship and internship programmes that will enable the students to gain practical experience in a real business environment. In addition, training courses are conducted for students within the scope of the functioning of a company in the aviation industry. The subject-matter of the classes is not limited to technical issues and the organisation of production, but also the issues concerning the code of ethics, data confidentiality, export control, quality assurance system in the aviation industry and the principles of OHS, i.e. the pillars of Pratt & Whitney Rzeszów.
