Prototype production

The MED (Manufacturing Engineering Development) prototype workshop manufactures highly specialised components and assemblies for experimental engines. Our mission is to implement the ideas of the engineers in reality. Owing to our unconventional approach, we can perform all the tasks related to the manufacture and modification of experimental aircraft parts. We quite often serve as an evaluation centre for the testing and development of new technologies in manufacturing, prototyping, as well as advanced measurement techniques. In our organisation we have specialists who, based on minimal information, are able to work out a new component/assembly, modification, as well as overhaul. We have an extensive range of machines, including those for special processes, at our disposal: turning, milling, laser cutting in space, forming sheet details, welding, bonding, etc. We have multifunctional coordinate measurement machines, which we use to confirm the achieved dimensional accuracies. Furthermore, we utilise the technological processes available in the production departments. We are constantly developing our skills and potential, in order to participate fully in the process of developing new models of engine.
