Static structures

At the Plant of Engine Components and Advanced Static Structures, production processes are conducted, from the formation of simple sheet details to complex engine sub-assemblies. Its production mainly includes:

• gas generators,
• engine frames,
• fan housings,
• gas outlets,
• blades,
• combustion chambers,
• seals and discs.

One of the key projects is the automated production of intermediate frames and fan housings. This includes: welding, mechanical processing, fitting operations and washing. This type of production process organisation is known as Closed Door Technology.

Automatic transport systems are used in production for components between particular production lines.
