PZL 10-W engine

The PZL-10 W is a 900 horsepower engine equipped with the latest digital fuel system control and modern material technologies. It is a resilient design tested in harsh conditions.

Two PZL-10 W engines, together with the WR-3 main gearbox, constitute the power plant of the Sokół helicopter. It is a multi-purpose helicopter used by the Polish Army, medical services and search and rescue services. Sokół helicopter  is currently exploited in 8 countries on 4 continents.

ENGINE FEATURES

The PZL-10W engine is built in a classic for this type of engines two-rotor system with a free turbine. During many years of development a number of engine versions were created, including a version equipped with an electronic control system of the FADEC fuel installation. The engine has also a rotary fuel injector for uniform temperature field distribution, and the compressor design is extremely durable. The PZL 10-W provides a favorable price/cost ratio during exploitation.
